Certification

Certification is a good differentiator in the job market. You can show your current employer that you are well-versed in Apache Kafka – something which can help during salary negotiations and promotion discussions. If you're looking for a new job, you can use the Certification to stand out from the crowd.

Our Certification exams are 90 minute proctored and timed multiple-choice exams. Our proctored Exams can be taken remotely from anywhere in the world that meet internet, security and privacy requirements or can be taken at an available testing center world-wide. If taking the exam remotely, the candidate must have a Webcam, and the proctor monitors the student for the duration of the exam. It is not required that you attend a training class prior to your exam; however, taking recommended training will assist you in exam preparation. We recommend you review the online study guide for the exam you are preparing to take.

To preserve the security and value of the certification program, all candidates must accept the terms and conditions of the Confluent Certification Program Agreement during the registration process and at the beginning of any Confluent certification exam. Read the agreement in full before scheduling your exam. If you are not willing to be bound by the Agreement, you will not be allowed to take the exam.

Candidates may reschedule or cancel an appointment five (5) or more calendar days prior to the appointment date.

Within 5 days of the appointment date, rescheduling of an appointment is not available. Candidates who cancel within 5 days of the appointment date will need to reapply before scheduling a new appointment. If you fail to cancel or reschedule within that time frame, your exam fees will be nonrefundable.

To ensure there will be no issues completing your exam, your system must meet certain requirements. Prior to your exam launch, visit https://rpcandidate.prometric.com/ to install the ProProctor Application and perform a System Check. If your internet speed does not meet these requirements, your exam attempt may be forfeited. If you have any questions or concerns, you can contact Prometric support from this page.

For remote exams, you will need a computer with a video camera, audio (both microphone and speaker capability), a browser, and a strong internet connection. You must have a government ID to verify your identity prior to starting an exam.

For in-person exams, you must have a government ID to verify your identity prior to starting an exam. The proctor at the testing center will assign you a workstation to complete your exam

The use of reference materials and mobile phones is prohibited during the certification examination.

After completing your exam, you will receive results immediately on the testing screen.

If you pass the exam, you will earn the certification credential and be authorized to use the certification title and logo on your business cards and other professional collateral, in accordance with the Confluent Certification Agreement.

Yes. The Certification expires after two years. You will be required to re-certify every 2 years.

Yes. Upon passing a Confluent certification exam, you will receive an email with instructions about how to access the Confluent digital badges and certificates If you do not receive the email, please check your spam folder.
